Last Updated: December 2025

At Hampton Genetics Ltd, we understand that your genetic data is uniquely personal. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of the sensitive information you entrust to us during the genetic screening and diagnostic process.

This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, process, and protect your data in connection with our products, including Hampton A and Hampton B, and our at-home testing services.

1. Information We Collect

To provide our specialized genetic services, we collect several types of information:

A. Personal Identity Information

  • Name, address, email, and phone number.
  • Payment and billing information.
  • Shipping details for the delivery of at-home sample collection kits.

B. Sensitive Biological & Genetic Data

When you use our services, we collect biological samples and generate data derived from them:

  • Biological Samples: Saliva or blood samples collected via our at-home kits or in-clinic partners.
  • Genetic Information: Raw genetic data generated through Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) and Whole Exome Screening (WES).
  • Health History: Information regarding family medical history, suspected conditions, or ethnic background to ensure accurate calibration of our sequencing analysis.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your data solely for the purpose of delivering accurate medical and genetic insights:

  • Laboratory Analysis: To process your biological sample using NGS technology to identify genetic variants.
  • AI-Driven Interpretation: We utilize advanced algorithms and AI models to analyze Variants of Unknown Significance (VUS) and predict potential health impacts based on DNA structure and disease prevalence.
  • Reporting & Counseling: To generate your clinical report and provide genetic counseling services to help you understand your results.
  • Service Improvement: To refine our algorithms and improve the accuracy of future genetic diagnostics (data used for this purpose is de-identified).

3. Data Sharing and Third Parties

Hampton Genetics Ltd operates with a network of trusted partners to ensure the highest standard of testing. We may share your data with:

  • Sequencing Laboratories: Your de-identified biological samples may be processed by certified third-party laboratories (such as Igenomix or similar providers) strictly for the purpose of DNA sequencing.
  • Counseling Partners: If you opt for genetic counseling, relevant results may be shared with healthcare professionals to guide your session.
  • Legal Compliance: We may disclose information if required by law or to comply with valid legal processes.
Note on Privacy: We do not sell your genetic data to third parties, advertisers, or insurance companies without your explicit, separate consent.

4. Data Storage and Security

We employ industry-standard security measures to protect your data during transmission and storage. Your genetic data is stored separately from your personally identifiable information (PII) to ensure an additional layer of privacy.

While we use advanced encryption and security protocols, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

5. Sample Retention and Biobanking

Unless you opt into long-term storage or biobanking for future research:

  • Your biological sample (saliva/blood) will be destroyed after the analysis is complete and the quality control period has passed.
  • Your genetic data file will be retained for a specific period to allow for follow-up counselling or re-analysis requests, after which it will be securely archived or deleted in accordance with regulatory requirements.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your data:

  • Access: The right to request a copy of the personal and genetic data we hold about you.
  • Deletion: The right to request the deletion of your account and data, subject to medical record retention laws.
